Puppies July 10th..Austin has arrived..!

This is the beginning of a

puppy pile.

Austin, our Grandson, arrived

from FL yesterday. My daughter

has a pet sitting business, so Austin

is very comfortable with all kinds

of animals.

Finally, all on his lap and fast asleep.

Can you find six little pups?

Puppies and children, what a great match...!

The pups are getting some special bonding time

with Leeya. It won't be long now and they

will be weaned.

July 6th..first outing...

Today was a beautiful

warm and sunny day here. The

perfect day for the puppies first

outing in the great outdoors..

They were very curious about the

new smells and the grass.

After exploring things for a few

minutes, the girls all migrated

towards Mama Leeya for a

snack.

L to R..Lavender, Turquoise
and Pink

The boys all went to Gramma Jean
for a snooze. We limited their outing for
about ten minutes.

Green, Yellow and Blue boy.

Next was their manicure/pedicure, a bit of

play time with one another, and then

off for a long nap. What a tiring first event

for the group.

July 4th...

As you can see they are growing fast.

This week we will slowly be weaning

the pups from Leeya. Their teeth are

just starting to come thru. I know

Leeya will be happy to have this

happen. She has been a wonderful

dotting Mom, but when the teeth

come in...it is time to go on to the

puppy gruel. Leeya will enjoy clean up

after they are done.

Blue checking out the stuffed ball

as Yellow and Lavender wander by.

Pink thinks it's cool that she

has found something new to gum...

Turquoise had found the perfect

headrest.

Turquoise....

Another sleepy one...green boy.

pig rail.

Lavender girl....following her brother's

example.

Turquoise, Blue, green, lavender, Pink, and yellow

I just started to put absorbent pads in

the whelping box. I was hoping maybe

the pups would get the idea to use them

for potty. Pink girl was the first, and after

her, they all got the idea.

Can potty training be this easy????

July 3rd..second puppy post for this date..

Pinkie,,revving up and raring to go !!

Ready, get set.....jump on the puppy pile !

Blue boy giving Lavender girl a 'high five'. ...and

Pinkie, the look of innocence.

We spend a lot of time in the whelping box. Just sitting

and cuddling the pups, letting them climb all over

us. .......just being totally entertained.

July 3 rd...Puppies playing.

Who could resist one of these cute little faces. . ?

They are playing so much now. Once Leeya nurses them

and then steps out of the whelping box, it is a free

for all..! They are really enjoying one another.

They all initiate play, and gum one another.

What a joy it is to watch.

puppies ...June...30th.

The puppies continue to gain weight...They range from 53 to 42

ounces. They are getting better at walking, and are attempting to

play more with one another. In four to five more days they will be

hearing. The eyes are all opened, and are the prettiest blue. Of

course, this will change from amber to gold as they mature.

Today was the last day of the bio sensor. Between that and the

handling, they all seem to be coming more into their own sweet

personalities. ...and how sweet they are.

I have had to put another panel in the exit and entrance area of the

whelping box. First green, than turquoise and today lavender were

just about out to explore the world outside of their 'now' living

quarters.

Leeya and the gang with full

stomachs.
